It's foggy and rainy out today and I was just thinking geez it would be nice to stay inside and snuggle all day, especially since Gabe thought 5 am was morning today. Mike gets home from work a little late this morning but I didn't think anything of it because it's foggy out so I figure he just took his time. Well he comes in drops his stuff I mention some emails I got and then he whispers to Gabe to wait by the door. He goes back out in the rain, I hear the car door open and close and he comes back. In one arm are donuts and OJ and the other is behind his back.
He surprised me with a brand new Orchid plant. I LOVE Orchids, they have been my favorite forever. I used to have several plants and I'm actually pretty good at getting them to rebloom but the didn't survive several moves we made all in a short period of time. I've been sad that I don't have any anymore and I was thrilled to get one. He said it was Happy Mel day :D So there was no reason just a thoughtful gift from my hubby.
Now of course I have to make sure that Gabe doesn't decide "play" with my Orchid, or eat it or feed it to the cats. I wonder if I have any Orchid potting mixture left?

ReplyDeleteYou need to come visit me then as the Atlanta Botanical Gardens have a huge Orchid exhibit. It's amazing. The orchids almost don't look real. What a great DH!
